Adriana Hilario

Vice Principal, Middle School Language Arts & Social Studies

Biography

Adriana was born in Chicago, Illinois and has lived in a couple of places like Portland, Oregon and Denver, Colorado. Her parents and younger sibling currently reside in Denver and she visits them as often as she can. As a second generation Santa Clara Bronco, she began her journey to education at the university her father once attended.

Adriana graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in Child Studies with a pre-teaching emphasis and a Spanish minor. Upon completing her degree, she embarked on her journey receiving her Masters of Arts in Teaching from the Santa Clara University through the Excellence in Catholic Education and Leadership (ExCEL) Program. Additionally, she is working on her second Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Notre Dame. She is expected to graduate in July 2024 and has plans to take a break from higher education to focus on teaching and working in the St. Lawrence Elementary and Middle School community.

Adriana has just finished her first year working at St. Lawrence Elementary and Middle School, but has worked in the Diocese of San Jose at a few schools teaching second grade. She embarked on a new journey this year taking on the vice principal role as well as teaching middle school humanities at St. Lawrence. Ms. Hilario's educational journey has been deeply rooted in Catholic schools, from preschool to graduate studies, and her ultimate dream is to become a transformative Catholic school leader in the Diocese of San Jose.

When Adriana is not at St. Lawrence or in class, she is spending time with her loved ones. She enjoys sharing meals and watching movies with them. Adriana also enjoys swimming, shopping, reading, and completing puzzles.
