Assessment

At St. Lawrence, we prioritize ongoing assessment to monitor student progress effectively. Report cards are issued each trimester to all students. We host conferences with families midway through the first trimester in October and again in March, offering opportunities to discuss individual student progress and address any concerns. Progress reports are distributed during these conferences to provide insights into students’ academic journey.

Our assessment methods are intentionally diversified to ensure a comprehensive understanding of student learning. Alongside traditional exams, we incorporate project-based assessments and papers, providing students with various avenues to demonstrate their understanding and skills. In addition, we utilize exit tickets to gather feedback from students and inform our future lesson planning, ensuring continuous improvement in our teaching practices.
