Biography

Diana Acosta was born in Stanford, California and is a proud Latina. As St. Lawrence’s Dual Language Immersion teacher, she speaks Spanish and English and looks forward to working alongside students’ bilingual journey. After graduating from Santa Clara High, she attended Notre Dame de Namur University and received her bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies: Education and Psychology. 

She will be starting her third year of teaching at St. Lawrence in the 2024-2025 school year. In her students days, she taught kindergarten and she is excited to bring back what she once learned by working alongside her team!

In her free time, she enjoys watching sunsets and walks at the beach while spending time with her family which includes her mom, dad, grandma and two younger brothers. She also enjoys the presence of her two cats and two dogs - Margo, Gloria with Goofy and Kiara. She can’t wait to see what is in store this coming year.

Diana nació en Stanford, California, y es una latina orgullosa. Es bilingüe: habla español e inglés, y espera trabajar junto a los estudiantes. Tan pronto como se graduó de Santa Clara High, asistió a la Universidad de Notre Dame de Namur y recibió su licenciatura en Estudios Liberales: Educación y Psicología.

Para Diana, es un honor comenzar su tercer año de enseñanza en St. Lawrence. Para ella, fue un privilegio haber enseñado Kindergarten en sus días como estudiante de enseñanza. Ella dice: "¡Es hora de recuperar lo que una vez aprendí trabajando junto a mi equipo!"

En su tiempo libre, Diana disfruta viendo atardeceres y paseos por la playa mientras pasa tiempo con su familia, que incluye a su mamá, papá, abuela y dos hermanos menores. También disfruta de la presencia de sus dos gatos y dos perros: Margo, Gloria con Goofy y Kiara. Diana no puede esperar a ver lo que nos espera este próximo año.
